Risco Connection
My first encounter with Risco Connection music, was quite a long time ago, and thanks to the issue of David Mancuso's "The Loft" compilations.
At that time, was some kind of hype with that balearic & obscure disco act, and bootlegs around were collecting impressive other efforts from the band...
Risco Connection - Ain't No Stopping Us Now (version)
Risco Connections - I'm Caught Up
"Summer lazy time" guys, record's promo text will fit perfectly:
"In the late 1970s, Joe Isaacs put together a unique dub/disco/reggae project called Risco Connection. The group released multiple 12” singles covering classic disco tracks in an inspired Jamaica-Funk fashion, a style still considered something of a novelty in the mainstream at the time, and in the process successfully put their stamp on the original versions.
Limited Japanese import, both formats in 70s style heavy-board paste-on gatefold sleeve."
